Wizards & Dark Mages
For hundreds of years, wizards have been hiding among Muggles (people without magical powers).
To avoid being tortured and burnt at the stake, wizards have decided to live in closed communities.
Despite their secret lives, many of them have left their mark on the history of the Wizarding World.
Here they are...
Neville Longbottom
Many of you were expecting to discover the name of the famous
I imagine you already know the Survivor, so there's no point wasting time telling you his story.
On the other hand, I doubt you know the whole story of the Lion of Gryffindor, the last line of defence at Hogwarts when Harry and his friends went in search of the Horcruxes of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
Attilius Malkin
Another character who left his mark on Hogwarts history at the same time was Attilius Malkin.
The youngest son of Quintus Malkin, Head of the Department of Mysteries, he was chosen by the Dark Lord to take Draco Malfoy's place and join Hogwarts.
His mission is to spy on the few remaining students who still oppose his total domination.
Erine Warden
Erine Warden's involvement in preparing the school's defence is often overlooked.
After witnessing the murder of Rufus Scrimgeour, she decided to join the school to find a way to avenge his death and make his killers pay.
Although very discreet, she excels in a number of areas, including Spells and Metamorphosis.
